Tear Trough Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

What are hyaluronic acid fillers?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are the most widely used fillers worldwide. As HA is a naturally occurring substance that is present in every living organism, such fillers have an unmatched clinical safety record. HA also has superior moisturizing and volumizing capabilities, as it can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in water.

How are tear trough fillers performed?

The face is cleansed and numbing cream is applied. The HA filler is then placed on the supraperiosteal plane using a needle or cannula. Care is taken not to overfill the tear trough region as its superficial anatomy will make filler clumps or lumps more obvious. Soothing recovery cream will then be applied after the procedure.

How long will it take for me to see results?

Clinical improvement in the dark eye circles and tear trough deformity can be seem immediately after the procedure.

Are there any side effects?

Possible common side effects are usually mild and injection-related. These include e.g. slight redness, swelling, mild bruising, etc.
