The Cutera Excel V laser can be used effectively to remove hair in virtually all areas of the body, most commonly the underarms, chest, back, abdomen and pubic regions, etc.
How does Laser Hair Removal work?
The 1064nm wavelength of the Cutera Excel V laser is used for this purpose. Impulses are transmitted via the hair shaft to inactivate the hair follicles. Typically, 4 to 6 treatment sessions are required for good clinical results to be seen. Patients with lighter-coloured hair (other then black) may require more treatment sessions with higher settings to see effective results.
What are the possible side effects?
You may notice slight redness and swelling at the treatment site post-procedure. This can be alleviated with the application of an icepack immediately after the procedure. Topical steroids can also be applied for a few days after the treatment for symptomatic relief.
