SPECTRA XT CARBON LASER PEEL
SpectraPeel is the latest skin rejuvenation procedure providing the most effective treatment for enlarged pores! It also reduces fine wrinkles and brightens your skin tone.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BOTULINUM TOXIN?
Reduces wrinkles (e.g. frown lines, crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes and undereye wrinkles, bunny lines around the nose, etc.)
Wrinkles form when we make the same facial expressions over and over again, causing the involved muscles to become stronger with more creasing of the skin. Botulinum toxin can target these muscles, making them less tense and reversing the signs of aging.
Recent studies have shown that prevention is better than cure – starting injections at an earlier age can delay the onset of fine lines and wrinkles.
In the past, large amounts of toxin were used, leading to the infamous “frozen face” look of certain Hollywood stars. However, with the introduction of new products and advanced techniques (e.g. injecting toxin into the skin instead of the muscle), a more natural and attractive look can now be achieved easily!
IS SPECTRA PEEL PAINFUL?
Typically, no anaesthesia is required. You may experience slight warmth and a light tingling or prickling sensation.
IS SPECTRA PEEL SAFE?
SpectraPeel is in general a safe treatment that is suitable for all skin types. There is little to no downtime, which means that you can resume your normal activities.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?
It is recommended that patients repeat the treatment every 2 to 3 weeks, for a total of 3 to 5 times, for optimum results. Thereafter, treatments should be performed twice a year for maintenance.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?
The side effects are usually injection-related, such as mild discomfort during the procedure, as well as transient bruising, swelling and/or bleeding.
WHEN CAN I START TO SEE RESULTS AND HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
Results can normally be seen 10 to 14 days post injection and usually last for 6 to 9 months. Repeated treatments are highly recommended, as results are cumulative and last progressively longer.
